Southeast Community College achieved an enrollment of 9,505 students for the 2024 Spring Semester, a 12% increase over the 2023 Spring Semester. This is the highest spring enrollment since 9,067 students were enrolled for the 2020 Spring Semester.
The SCC Board of Governors approved a $1 per credit hour increase in the tuition rate and a $1 per credit hour increase in student fee for the 2024-2025 academic year during its regular monthly meeting Feb. 20.
Southeast Community College officials are reminding taxpayers in SCC’s 15-county service area to claim refundable credits for community college and school district property taxes paid when they file their income taxes.

Wyatt Brockman was recognized as the January Ag/Horticulture Student of the Month for Southeast Community College’s Beatrice Campus. A Lawrence native, he is enrolled in the Agriculture Management and Production program and is on track to graduate in May 2024.
Stanley and Pauline Matzke had four children while Dora and William H. Hermann had five girls and three boys they were raising on their farm near Staplehurst, Nebraska. The families commemorated their relationship by establishing a scholarship at SCC.
The Mervin K. and Sally Jo Fleming Memorial Diesel Technology Scholarship will annually award scholarships based on financial need to students enrolled in the Diesel Technology-Truck or Diesel-Ag Equipment Service Technology programs.
After graduating from SCC, Kimberly Wollenhaupt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University and interned with the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association.
Lincoln native Eli Brown is the new men’s soccer coach at Southeast Community College.
