Estimated Cost of Attendance

The cost of attendance (COA) is a standardized estimate of the expenses you may incur while attending the SCC. It includes tuition and fees, housing and food, books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. The COA is used to determine eligibility for financial aid such as grants and loans and sets a federally required limit on the amount of financial aid a student can receive. These estimates are intended to help you and your family plan for the academic year.

• Living expenses (housing and food): estimated based on the average cost of on-campus housing (defaulted to a traditional double room) or typical off-campus rent and utilities. Meal costs are based on the estimated expense of two meals per day.
• Tuition & fees: estimated based on 12 credit hours per semester.
• Personal expenses: includes estimates for transportation, clothing, and other miscellaneous personal costs.
