Regular employees, with a full-time equivalency factor of three-fourths (3/4) or more, are eligible for all benefits available through Southeast Community College. Full-time equivalency definitions for our employee classifications are outlined in the SCC College Handbook.
The Southeast Community College Board of Governors is responsible for implementing and maintaining the program of benefits for eligible employees.

A minimum of $50,000 life insurance coverage and $50,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage is available for eligible employees.
Long Term Disability Insurance:
Long term disability insurance is available for eligibile employees.
A group retirement plan throughis available to eligible employees and the College contributes an amount equal to the employees contribution. Eligible employees age 30 and above are required to participate. Additionally, TIAA offers Tax Sheltered Annuities.
Employees are covered by the Federal Social Security Plan. The College withholds from employee wages the amount equal to the Federal Social Security Plan requirement for that year and the College provides an equivalent amount.

Tuition Waiver for SCC Credit and Non-credit Classes:
The College offers 100% tuition remission for eligible employees and their spouse and eligible tax dependents for SCC credit and non-credit classes.
Eligible employees shall have the opportunity for tuition reimbursement for undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree credit courses with supervisor approval. See terms in College policies or negotiated agreements.
All employees are covered by insurance for expenses involved with an on-the-job accident.
