Ever wonder what it's like to bend conduit or use a welder? To see a project jump from a computer screen to a construction zone? Or program a robot to automatically complete a task?
The construction industry has a variety of in-demand, high-impact, and technology-driven careers. SCC's Construction Day will give students hands-on opportunities to explore several construction-related career fields. Students will learn from industry leaders and SCC instructors and will work alongside current SCC students.
Due to the hands-on nature of our events, each participant must complete a Waiver Form; if under 19, it must be signed by a parent or guardian. This waiver is valid for all SCC recruiting events during the 2026–2027 academic year. Print and sign the waiver (English|Español), then email it to admissions@southeast.edu one week before the event or submit it in person the day of.
Participants will take part in rotations and have the opportunity to learn about the selected career fields listed below:
- Building Construction Technology
- Concrete Construction Technician
- Electrical & Electromechanical Technology
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Technology
- Land Surveying/GIS/Civil Engineering Technology
- Nondestructive Testing Technology
- Plumbing Technology
- Design & Drafting Technology
