The agriculture industry has a variety of in-demand and essential careers that will allow you to contribute to producing the world’s food supply, optimizing yields and profit margins, maintaining turf on golf courses and athletic fields, caring for livestock, maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and the use of today’s best technology, and resolving issues related to power supplies, environmental concerns, and structural safety, and more!
Agriculture Day is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to learn about opportunities in the agriculture industry! The event is hosted on our Beatrice Campus and provides the perfect opportunity to see SCC’s 900-acre farm in action!
Due to the hands-on nature of our events, each participant must complete a Waiver Form; if under 19, it must be signed by a parent or guardian. This waiver is valid for all SCC recruiting events during the 2026–2027 academic year. Print and sign the waiver (English|Español), then email it to admissions@southeast.edu one week before the event or submit it in person the day of.
Participants will participate in hands-on activities and learn about career opportunities in the agriculture industry from the following SCC Programs of Study:
- Agriculture Management & Production
- Horticulture & Turfgrass Management
- Livestock Management & Production
- Precision Agriculture
