The Nebraska Community College Global Leadership Consortium

The overall mission of the Nebraska Community College Global Leadership Consortium is to provide opportunities to engage students and faculty from all the participating community colleges in joint global activities, which will include those sponsored by individual institutions and those sponsored by the consortium of Nebraska community colleges (Central Community College, Mid-Plains Community College, Northeast Community College, Southeast Community College and Western Nebraska Community College).

Past Trips

Southeast Community College students have traveled the world through past study abroad and travel programs, visiting destinations across the globe. Trips have included exploring New York City's landmarks like the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty, touring France through Paris and the Loire Valley, and experiencing the culture and history of Ireland. Students have ventured through Italy and Greece, taking in iconic sites such as the Colosseum, Vatican, Parthenon and Acropolis, as well as London and Paris, where they visited Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Eiffel Tower. Other programs have offered immersive cultural experiences in Kenya, including safaris, service learning and visits to local schools and communities, along with collaborative courses connecting students with peers in Africa. These journeys have given students the chance to see the world, broaden their perspectives and make lasting memories.
