Nondestructive Testing Technology trains you to examine critical infrastructure components using advanced inspection methods without compromising their integrity. As Nebraska's only NDT program and one of fewer than ten nationwide, you'll master using ultrasound, radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and visual inspection techniques. You will be trained to evaluate materials and structures across aerospace, energy, manufacturing and transportation industries, ensuring safety and compliance with crucial regulations. Our hands-on approach prepares you for high-demand careers where your technical expertise directly protects lives and property.

Master Testing Methods

You will learn how to use the testing methods of Radiography, Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Visual inspection techniques with precision and accuracy.


Defect Analysis & Identification

Interpret test results and identify material defects across various industrial components.


Regulatory Compliance Expertise

Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards, codes and safety regulations.

WHY SCC?

What skills will I learn in a Nondestructive Testing program?


You'll spend 70% of your time in labs learning six important testing methods: Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonics, Radiography, and Eddy Current. These techniques are used in real work environments, so you'll have the knowledge and skills when you begin your career. You'll get hands-on practice performing live inspections on actual materials and components used in industry.

Nondestructive Testing Technician/NDT Level II Technician

Inspect materials and components using specialized equipment to detect flaws without damaging items across multiple NDT methods.
