CPR - HeartCode® Basic Life Support Online + Skills Session (for Health Care Professionals)
Need your professional certification in AHA CPR Basic Life Support and want a convenient way of getting it? This online class is for you! You will only need to meet in person once for the Skills Session after you complete the online portion of the class. You will receive the online AHA access key and email approximately one week prior to your Skills Session class.
- When registering, include your email address.
- Once you’ve completed the online portion, you will print your AHA Online Course Completion Certificate. For admission into the Skills Session, you must have this certificate with you.

If you have already purchased the online course (HLTH‑3253) or completed the training elsewhere, you just need to bring in your completion certificate to your skills session.
The certificate must be current as of six months since the written portion was completed.

you. Learn how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until medical
professionals arrive. This class meets the first aid requirement for day cares.

This AHA Heartsaver® First Aid course is offered in a convenient online format you can take in the comfort of your home. AHA’s ACLS course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace.

You will need to bring your current ACLS provider card and the certificate of completion for the ACLS Instructor Essentials Online course.
You are responsible for purchasing the online key through American Heart Association at: https://shopcpr.heart.org/acls-instuctor-essentials-online. At the completion of the course, it will your responsibility to contact your training center for issuance of ACLS Instructor card.

CPR/Basic Life Support Information
- ATTENDANCE: You are required to attend the entire class you have enrolled in to receive a card. If you miss or do not successfully complete any part of your class, you must register and pay for another class. Report to the class session you have registered for unless you are notified by the College that the class is full or has been cancelled.
- CPR CARD: Cost includes the cost of issuing AHA CPR/First Aid e-cards (electronic cards via email). You will receive the AHA CPR/First Aid e-card within 14 business days after successful completion of the course. AHA e-cards expire two years from the end of the month of the issue date.
- TEXTBOOK: Textbook not required. If you would like to purchase a copy, you can do so at the SCC Campus Store, 8800 O St., Lincoln, NE, or online at SCC Campus Store.
- CANCEL/REFUND/SWITCH SECTIONS: We require 24 hours’ notice before the day of class to drop or change any CPR or First Aid class. Call 402-437-2700.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS,
ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these
materials in an education course does not represent course sponsorship by the American
Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except a portion of the fees
needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
