In order to allow more students study abroad opportunities, Southeast Community College’s Global Education program is holding a fundraising event on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Course Restaurant, located on SCC’s Lincoln Campus. The event is from 4:30-7 p.m. and includes hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music and more at $40 a ticket.

“Education abroad is a life-altering experience,” said Nicole Trevena Flores, Global Education coordinator. “We hope to break down one of the barriers, cost, by providing more financial resources to our student-travelers in the form of travel-abroad scholarships.”

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the Global Education Scholarship Fund. SCC is sponsoring two study abroad trips in spring 2023, to New York City and to Paris, France.
