Student Enrollment

Mike PegramMike has served as associate vice president of student enrollment since June of 2022. In that role he oversees enrollment management areas of the College: Admissions, Assessment and Testing, College Advising, Financial Aid, and Registration and Records. In addition, he is responsible for developing and implementing the college-wide course scheduling and utilization model, which is used to ensure that SCC meets course demand needs for students.

During his tenure at SCC, Mike has collaborated on numerous college-wide initiatives, including:

  • Overseeing the College’s Strategic Enrollment Planning Steering team in 2015
  • Serving on the College’s Institutional Strategic Planning Team in both 2015 and 2020
  • Involvement in two Higher Learning Commission accreditation cycles
  • Serving as a member of the steering team that converted the College from a quarter to a semester calendar system
  • Direct involvement in the coordination and distribution of CARES ACT/HEERF dollars that went directly toward student relief during the pandemic
  • Leading the effort to revise SCC’s course placement score policies, which created greater access for students to enroll
  • Developing and implementing the college-wide course scheduling and utilization model, in collaboration with the Instructional Division and Institutional Research Office

Mike’s wife Sara is a business intelligence developer/programmer at SCC and they have three children. He is a native of Independence, Missouri as well as a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, reading, many types of music, exercising, staying active and fishing.

Mike holds a master’s degree in Counselor Education from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Truman State University.
