Program Description

Our Design & Drafting Technology program teaches the skills needed to design  systems and parts for real world use.

Architectural Design is a hands-on program that will teach you how to use AutoCAD and Revit software to create BIM (Building Information Modeling) designs. Our design labs mimic a worksite which challenges you to develop problem solving skills in a real-world construction environment.

Students in SCC’s Design & Drafting Technology program are good problem solvers and have strong analytical skills. They are detail oriented and possess a good sense of spatial awareness. The ability to work cooperatively with others and enjoy a flexible working environment are also important.

You can start the Design & Drafting Technology -  Architectural Design program in the Fall or Spring terms. Follow these steps to finish your application:

  4. Submit ACT, SAT, Next Generation Accuplacer, or Accuplacer test scores (reading and math) or official college transcripts showing completion of post-secondary coursework in English and math to the Admissions Office at any SCC location.
