The Southeast Community College Marketing & Communications team won five Medallion Awards at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations District 5 Conference, held Oct. 8-10 in Kansas City. The NCMPR Medallion Awards are the premier regional competition recognizing outstanding marketing and public relation achievements at the community and technical colleges within each of NCMPR’s seven districts.

The SCC team won the following awards:

  • Viewbook: Your Path to Possible 2024-2025, gold
  • Microsite/Landing Page: Lincoln Campus map, silver
  • Special Event/Fundraising Campaign: SkillsUSA Golf Tournament, silver
  • Brochure (single or event): SCC Educational Foundation Strategic Plan, bronze
  • Postcard (single or series): Driver’s Education, bronze

“I couldn’t be more proud of this team and the exceptional work they are producing,” said Seth Meranda, administrative director of marketing and communications. “These awards are a testament to the creativity, dedication and strategic thinking our team brings to the table every day. We’re actively working to improve and increase our brand and this recognition shows that our efforts are resonating beyond our campus with our peers.”

NCMPR is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,600 members from nearly 600 colleges across the United States and Canada.
