SCC Celebrates National Transfer Student Week

Every transfer student has a story about their new campus experience. In Nebraska, many of those stories start at Southeast Community College.

SCC is joining colleges and universities across the country in celebrating National Transfer Student Week on Oct. 19-23, as a time to recognize the students who carry their learning and determination from one college to the next. It’s also a chance to thank the faculty and staff who help them get there, from the first advising appointment to the day they step onto their next campus.

“Every student’s path looks different and our commitment to transfer students continues to expand,” said Dr. Tony Lazarowicz, SCC administrative director of transfer initiatives. “We are continually strengthening connections with other institutions to create more seamless opportunities for SCC students to transfer and thrive.”

SCC is co-hosting more than 15 transfer-focused events throughout October on the Lincoln campus and beyond. The events are designed to help students explore their options, connect with university partners, and feel confident about what comes next. Find dates, times and locations on SCC’s transfer events calendar.
