SCC's Family Science Night on Friday, April 25

Join Southeast Community College’s Earth Day Celebration on Friday, April 25 at Family Science Night. The event is free and will be held at the SCC gymnasium on the Lincoln Campus at 8800 O Street from 5:30-8 p.m. Family Science Night is hosted by SCC science faculty, STEM Club, STEAM Team and other campus volunteers.
“This is an engaging night of science for the entire family,” said Michael Mellon, Science Program chair at SCC. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate Earth Day and have fun at the same time.”
Activities are geared for elementary aged children to learn about science. Some of these include:
- Telescope
- Live Snakes
- Physics of Juggling
- Robots
- Solar System Model
- Conservation of Angular Movement
- Science of Fermentation
- Bioindustrial Manufacturing Model Station
The evening includes free pizza and prizes. In addition, the Sweet Treats Food Truck will also be selling food and drinks. A limited number of tickets are available; get your free tickets online.
