SCC to Graduate 611 Students on Dec. 11

Southeast Community College will graduate approximately 611 students during the Fall Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive, Lincoln. The graduation ceremony is an all-college ceremony and includes students from the Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford campuses. In addition, 187 Summer graduates will also be recognized during the ceremony.
The combined Fall ceremony will include 71 graduates from Beatrice, 458 from Lincoln and 82 from Milford. There will be a total of 633 degrees conferred including 450 associates degrees, 80 diplomas and 103 certificates. The Summer breakdown is 195 degrees conferred including 112 associates, 41 diplomas and 42 certificates.
Tickets are not required and there is no limit to the number of guests per graduate. Guests are invited to sit in any non-reserved section in the 100-level of the arena with handicap seating available on the main concourse. PBA enforces a clear-bag policy, which limits the size and type of bag allowed in the venue.
Paid parking is available at Park & Go parking garages and metered street parking around PBA. Accessible parking is also available at Park & Go with the drop-off area located on the south side of PBA (R Street).
Diane Temme Stinton, CEO of Lincoln-based precision manufacturing company TMCO Inc, will serve as the commencement speaker. Her journey from Ph.D. musicologist across Europe to manufacturing executive in Nebraska exemplifies the transformative power of education and non-traditional career paths. TMCO was founded in 1974 by her father, Roland Temme and has been under her leadership since 2022. TMCO was recognized as Nebraska’s 2023 Manufacturer of the year by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry because of its workforce innovation, community investment, and commitment to creating economic opportunity for people of all backgrounds. SCC partnered with TMCO to design and manufacture all 196 welding stations for its $43 million Welding Technology Center which opened in 2025. Temme Stinton won the 2020 Inspire Award for Excellence in Business as well as the Junior Achievement Gold Apple Society Award.
The ceremony will be live streamed if family and friends are unable to attend in-person.
