SCC to Graduate Close to 850 Students May 14

Southeast Community College will graduate approximately 850 students during the Spring Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive, Lincoln. The graduation ceremony is an all-college ceremony and includes students from the Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford campuses.
Tickets are not required and there is no limit to the number of guests per graduate. Guests are invited to sit in any non-reserved section in the 100-level of the arena with handicap seating available on the main concourse. PBA enforces a clear-bag policy, which limits the size and type of bag allowed in the venue.
Paid parking is available at Park & Go parking garages and metered street parking around PBA. Accessible parking is also available at Park & Go with the drop-off area located on the south side of PBA (R Street).
Michaella Kumke, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Lincoln, will serve as the commencement speaker. Her Food Bank career began in 2015 as communications director then community engagement director before being named president and CEO in May 2021. Her 20+ years of nonprofit experience includes work in educational broadcasting, health care and early childhood development. Kumke is a community volunteer who currently serves on the City of Lincoln’s Age-Friendly Lincoln Committee, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Bryan Medical Center Board of Trustees.
The ceremony will be live streamed if family and friends are unable to attend in-person.
