Southeast Community College (SCC) Student Veterans Organization (SVO) was established on February 25, 2013. The SVO is a student organization for veterans and dependents to network and discover information about veterans benefits and opportunities. The main objective of the organization is to help veterans and their families overcome challenges and barriers as they transfer out of service, into the classroom and onto a career.  The goal is to provide support to all veterans, active duty members, retirees, reservist, guard, spouses and dependents attending SCC with the tools to further their educational needs.

The SVO participates in a variety of activities to support veterans and their families.  SVO activates include social gatherings, peer support, tutoring, fundraising and workshops. The SVO executive body is made up of a president, vice-president, secretary and advisors. The SVO currently meets each Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. for a short meeting in the Veterans Connect Center, room U3.  For more information about the SVO please contact Stephen Dietz at 402-437-2862.
