Uhler is named new Associate Dean at SCC Milford

Kevin Uhler, who has worked on Southeast Community College’s Milford Campus for the past 20 years in a variety of positions, is the newest associate dean effective March 7. Uhler replaces Todd Roth, who left SCC in December.

“I want to continue to promote unity and teamwork between all facets of our college,” Uhler said. “I am excited about helping our recently hired instructors, who are often fresh out of industry, as they prepare to become educators, in addition to being technical experts in their fields.”

“Kevin is passionate about helping students overcome barriers in their educational path, and is looking forward to this new opportunity to continue to serve our students, as well as providing support for our excellent faculty,” said Caleb Herwick, dean of construction, manufacturing, electronics & technology.

Uhler, a Fullerton native, earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in the GM ASEP program at SCC, and later came back to work as an automotive instructor in 1999. In 2018 he was promoted to the program director for Automotive Technology, GM ASEP, Ford ASSET and MOPAR. In 2020 he became program director for Auto Collision Repair Technology, and then for Professional Truck Driver Training in 2021.

“I really like that our SCC team works together to provide well-prepared graduates who can find great opportunities after graduation,” he said. “There is tremendous potential for our graduates.”

When he’s not working, Uhler enjoys car restoration, car races and activities. He lives in York with his wife Laurel, four daughters and one son.
