Share Your Story: Kimberly (Bayer) Wollenhaupt

After graduating from SCC, Kimberly Wollenhaupt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University and interned with the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association. She joined Kaplan University as an admissions advisor. After earning a master’s degree in Human Resources from Kaplan, she became a graduate student coach at Bellevue University. In 2020, Wollenhaupt went to Iowa Western Community College, first as the Director of Career and Transfer Services, and now as the Associate Dean of Enrollment Support.

“The hands-on learning, outstanding professors, classmates, and my internship experience at SCC were amazing,” Wollenhaupt said. “My experience truly led me to giving back and to my career in higher education. My advice to current students is to get involved and continue to learn all you can.”

She is married to John Wollenhaupt, and they have three children she loves to spend time with: Noah (7), Ellie (4) and Trent (1). Wollenhaupt enjoys spending time on the farm, watching sports, traveling, and being active in her church and community.
