The competitive athletic programs at SCC Beatrice are a vital part of the campus since competition between teams, businesses, & countries is what drives the world.

Southeast Community College offers six intercollegiate athletic teams for student-athletes to compete beyond high school. There are three sports for men and three sports for women. All six teams practice and play home contests either on SCC’s Beatrice Campus or in the city of Beatrice. The Storm, SCC’s mascot, compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II in all sports. SCC also is a member of the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Region IX of the NJCAA. In 2009, SCC added two new sports, baseball and softball, and has enjoyed success at the state, regional and national levels.
