The Pathways Green Construction Training Project is a grant-funded, short-term training opportunity for adults. The training will be held at the Center for People in Need, 3901 N. 27 St., Lincoln. The Pathways program offers a nationally recognized curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research, as well as Basic Education, Vocational English as a Second Language, and Computer Literacy classes. All classes are free but require a significant time commitment (up to 6 hours per day) for 10 weeks.   

Interested participants also will need to make an appointment to complete an assessment and orientation process. Read the Pathways brochure for more information about eligibility.

Funding for this program comes from the Recovery Act-Pathways Out of Poverty program, which is 100-percent funded by the Workforce Investment Act and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The total federal investment for this program is $2,331,278.
